The B.Sc. Nursing Programme is intended to develop the student as a person who will strive to fulfill his/her role as member of the nursing profession to uphold the dignity of the profession and to establish professional autonomy in nursing education, practice and research.
Age for admission shall be 17 years on December in which year admission is sought
10+2 class passed with Science Physics, Chemistry, and Biology & English Core / English Elective with aggregate of 45% marks from recognized board under AISSCE / CBSE / ICSE / SSCE / HSCE or other equivalent Board.
Students appearing in 10+2 examination in Science conducted by National Institute of Open School with 45 marks.
5% relaxation for admission to all the SC / ST candidates.
Admission of each month and every year - 1st June to 31st October.
The sanctioned annual intake of the College is 50 seats

Candidate has to furnish the following documents in ORIGINAL and one set of Xerox copies for issue of Eligibility Certificate along with the Eligibility Application Form:
Candidates belonging to all categories for admission to the course of Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing Should have- Qualified in GNM (General Nursing & Midwifery) and be a registered Nurse and Midwife in the Tamil Nadu Nursing Council or any other State Nursing Council and also be registered in the Tamil Nadu Nursing Council accepted by the authority of this University.
After GNM with the Registration certificate from the State Nursing Council, the candidate can be permitted to join in Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing without work experience.
If the registration certificate cannot be obtained immediately, the original evidencefor registration in the form of receipt or any other authenticated document from the office of the State Nursing Council will be acceptable in lieu of the Registration Certificate.
A male nurse, trained before the implementation of the new integrated course ,besides being registered as a nurse with State Nurses Registration Council, shall produce evidence of training approved by Indian Nursing Council for a similar duration in lieu of in any one of the following areas:
Passed the Higher Secondary or Senior Secondary or Intermediate or 10+2 or an equivalent examination recognized by the University for this purpose.
Those who have done 10 + 1 on or before 1986, will be eligible for admission.
Obtained a certificate in General Nursing and Midwifery and registered R.N.R.M. with the State Nurses Registration Council.
Every candidate before admission to the course shall submit to the Principal of the institution a certificate of medical Fitness from an authorized medical officer that the candidate is physically fit to undergo the academic course.
There shall be no upper age limit for admission to the first year of Post Basic B.Sc. Degree Course in Nursing.
Candidates before seeking admission to any one of the affiliated Nursing colleges shall obtain an Eligibility Certificate from the University by remitting the prescribed fees along with the application form.
